If you’ve ever sat in one of our dining rooms during lunch, you know it’s not really about the food. It’s about the conversations that linger, the staff member who knows exactly how someone takes their coffee, and the moment a new resident looks around and realizes, “I’m going to be okay here.”
That’s what it means to build a community where people truly belong, and it’s those moments that people remember, share, and carry with them.
This year, those voices led to something meaningful. 23 Vitality Living communities have been recognized in the 2025–2026 U.S. News & World Report “Best of Senior Living” awards, earning 63 additional accolades across the experiences that shape everyday life. These awards are based entirely on independent feedback from residents and their families, reflecting how it actually feels to live in our communities.
What “Best” Really Reflects
Across Vitality Living, those experiences don’t happen by accident. They’re created through intentional moments of connection, choice, and energy that show up in everyday life.
Kelly Lindstrom, Chief Operating Officer, sees that impact firsthand. “You can feel it when you walk into a community. It’s not a program or a checklist. It’s energy. It’s laughter. It’s someone being known,” she says. “When people feel seen, when they have a choice in how they spend their day, when they’re genuinely enjoying life. That’s what changes everything.”
This philosophy is at the core of how Vitality Living approaches impacting lives through engagement, purpose, and connection. “We’re not here to manage decline,” Kelly adds. “We’re here to create places where people grow, connect, and feel alive. That’s what our teams are doing every single day.”

Together, these recognitions reflect a consistent standard of experience across our communities.
More Than Recognition
For CEO Chris Guay, the recognition is meaningful, but it also reflects something bigger. “We want to be the best wherever we can be because our residents and families deserve that,” he says. “But being the best isn’t something you declare. It’s something you earn, every single day.” This mindset of showing up with consistency, care, and intention is what drives the organization forward. “I am incredibly proud of our teams. This recognition reflects their commitment to creating exceptional experiences for the residents and families they serve,” Chris adds. “It’s also a reflection of how they bring our mission and values to life each and every day.”
Where This Is All Leading
Across our communities, thousands of moments happen every day. It is the small, human interactions that build trust, connection, and a sense of belonging. While those moments may not always be visible, they add up in powerful ways. They’re what led to this recognition, and they’re what fuel our broader goal: impacting 150,000 lives in 2026. That goal isn’t just about growth. It’s about creating more opportunities for residents, families, and team members to feel seen, supported, and connected in meaningful ways.
Because “better every day” isn’t just a value, it’s how we expand our impact, one person and one moment at a time.
