Vitality Living Frederica's Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Our community assists with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), from setting reminders to assisting with showers, incontinence care, laundry, housekeeping, meals, activities, outings, and local doctor appointment transportation. As additional in-house services from partnered care sources, our community includes physical therapy, podiatry services, nurse practitioner visits, and a hair salon.
Our team follows a mandatory 30-day, 60-day, and annual training program, covering several areas, such as resident rights, resident care, dementia training, hygiene, community policy, anti-discrimination, HIPAA, empowering residents, and several others. Each care team member goes through an average of 36 courses.
Potential residents must have a physical evaluation performed by their primary care physician (PCP) or nurse practitioner (NP). This is to ensure our staff and caregivers understand and follow the daily necessary assistance each resident requires. A background check must also be passed, as well as an agreement to the Assisted Living regulation provided in our residency agreement.
Memory Care is specialized residential care for those with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other forms of memory loss. Here, around-the-clock care is provided to ensure the safety and well-being of residents, as well as everyday enrichment activities to support cognitive function. Assisted Living, in contrast, gives residents more autonomy over their day while also providing additional assistance with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, and eating whenever needed.
This is a deeply personal decision, and only you can know when it’s time to consider moving into Assisted Living or a specialized Memory Care community. If you or your loved one exhibits any of the following signs, it may be time to consider your options:

Yes, families can have additional care services in the community. In-home care can be arranged through a third-party provider. If the family elects for additional caring services beyond what we provide for daily assistance, they must share a form from Vitality with the company providing the service or the private caregiver. The form must be signed and agreed to, while our regulations are understood when providing direct care services in the community.
We have six senior apartment floor plans to choose from, ranging from 398 sq. ft. studios to 670 sq. ft. two-bedroom apartments.
While we do not provide financial assistance ourselves, we do work with several senior living financial specialist programs to help you understand the options for financial assistance that are available to you.
