Learn how Kentucky’s assisted living care levels help ensure the right senior care at the right time.

Assisted Living Care in Kentucky

At Vitality Senior Living, we believe the right senior care should enhance daily life and never define it. In Kentucky, assisted living communities are licensed based on the type and level of support they provide. Understanding these care levels can help you make a confident and informed choice for yourself or a loved one.

This guide explains Kentucky’s assisted living licensure levels: ALC-Social (Assisted Living Care – Social) level and ALC-BH (Assisted Living Care – Basic Health) level, which offers a more comprehensive senior health management approach. ALC-DC (Assisted Living Care – Dementia Care) provides specialized dementia care along with basic health-assisted living care

Support That Evolves With You

Kentucky’s assisted living licensure system is designed to protect residents while supporting independence, dignity, and choice. Each license level reflects the services a community can provide, from light assistance to more comprehensive health and wellness support.

Vitality Senior Living communities in Kentucky are licensed to meet these standards while offering engaging lifestyles, welcoming spaces, and personalized care that adapts as needs change.
